Sapporo Fantasy Japanese Steak in Greensboro

I’m very disappointed with my service today. I called in a order and asked for extra condiments and was told very rudely “that’s a waste of sauce” as if I was a child. I wasn’t asked to pay extra. If I was asked I would have happily paid for it. After traveling across town to pick up my order I was still not given what I asked for. During this tough time that we are all facing I think we all deserve respect. Some people aren’t even working but still choose to patron your restaurant. Now I have to waste more gas and money to go get sauce from a different restaurant because 2 sauces isn’t and wasn’t enough. Thank god for Fuji Sushi. Moving forward they will be getting my business. Hope you don’t treat all your customers this way. Do better.

It's a pretty cool place to visit. The food was good and the wait time was short. It's Kubuto style with the chef preparing the meal in your presence. It's quite entertaining and the price is reasonable.

We went to this Saturday evening for dinner with a party of twenty, the food was very good and the service was also wonderful.We were celebrating two ladies birthday and the came over and sang happy birthday to the ladies.I had so much food that I couldn't eat it all good for my lunch today.Everyone walked away happy. Will come back again, hopefully on my birthday

It wasn't a long wait and the food was good. You get a lot of food so you will have leftovers.

As always, we had a nice meal. The staff was attentive and helped us celebrate a milestone birthday. We received a bunch of food, and all walked away full and satisfied.

I have went here multiple times over the years, and was always pleased. Today was a different story. There was a major time issue. It seemed like it took forever to get drinks (don't even try to get a refill) the food was okay, however the chef was not interactive like in all of my previous experiences. The people that we were sitting with also had multiple issues as far as cold coffee (after it took 30 mins to get to the table, because it was still being made) their check was about double what it should have been. Just was not the best experience and I doubt I will be back any time soon.

Often considered Greensboro's best restaurant for a reason.

We went here for a family dinner. The food is hibachi style food with selections of sushi and other items a la carte.The decor was somewhat dingy and in need of updates. The table chef was pleasant but not very friendly and did not engage us in any conversation that we are more accustomed to at a hibachi style restaurant. The atmosphere is why I have given it a 3 star. The food was okay though.

Walked in at a few min. before 5pm and placed a to go order.2 orders of Hibachi Chicken.The Chicken was tough,dry and way overcooked.Was definitely not cooked fresh.Likely was left over from lunch.But the service from the lady's was excellent!

This was a go to place for my family but after what I witnessed today we will not be going back! My husband and I were having sushi which is seated behind the bar area. There is a table the employees sit at eat drink and use their phones. I noticed a pile of plates that they wipe and pile up on the same table and when I noticed the employee lean on the stack of plates to show her phone to the employee across the table I brought it to the attention of our waitress and she did not have the top plate removed a cleaned again. I then noticed the employee prop her phone on the rag she was using to clean the plates! I called another waitress over and she apologized and moved the phone and the rag. Totally gross! No wonder they are one point away from a B! And that’s what they do in front of customers I wonder what goes on in the kitchen!

We had lunch there today. Service wasnt good at all. The waitstaff couldnt remember our ordee, got it wrong. They dont have a childs menu for lunch. I had to order an adult place for a 2 year old! The ranch was so watered down it didnt taste like anything. The soup appetizer was so bland we didnteven eat it. The chef was nice. And the food was just ok. Dont think we will b back

So much delicious food. Tempura vegetables are my favorite. Scallops are wonderful.

Great place to go if you want a show with your dinner. The service is exceptional here... they never let your glass go dry and quickly fulfill any customer requests. The chefs cook your food right in front of you while keeping you entertained with their culinary skills. A friendly, relaxed atmosphere makes this a great place to dine with friends and family. The portions will probably allow you to enjoy your meal later as well.

I ordered two hibachi meals to go. You pay the same price for for the same entree to go as you do eating inside the restaurant; however, you have to choose either soup or salad rather than receiving both. After speaking to management, I was informed that because of the costs of to go containers then that is why both items (soup and salad) are not provided with to go orders and it has been this way for 20 years. Keep in mind that as a customer, there is nan price difference. This is my first and last time going to this restaurant.

This is a wonderful place to go eat and meet the people that are seated around you. It’s a warm atmosphere and the food is outrageously delicious. Normally I have enough to take home and eat another meal. I have tried other Japanese restaurants in our area and none come close to the amount of food you get for the price.The waitress had no problem keeping drinks for or getting our bill ready at the end. I had a great time with my wife and son eating after church and getting to know the ladies that stop by on their trip from New York to try Sapporo’s while in town.

This was my first time going. It was excellent and the cook we had was hilariously clever when they interacted with the younger patrons who had questions about things like how they make fire on the grill. I got the fried rice with steak, and it was delicious. Soup and salad with an adult meal, and we got enough food that everyone took home a box.

Grea service and great atmosphere

l always have a great time here. I get the shrimp plate and it is great.. Staff was great. There cook cooked the food right in front of you so you know its hot.. I like the cook he's always doing some kind of tricks..

My family and I made a reservation. Needless to say they split us up and put us on separate waiters and cooks. They did not ask us if that was okay and so half of us got our drinks and food 10 mins ahead while the other half had to wait. It was not a pleasant atmosphere and did not enjoy having to wait until the other half of us to get their drinks and food so we can all enjoy it together. Because of this, we did not tip as great as we would have. Before we could all leave the 2 waiters confronted my husband questioning why he did not tip what they wanted. That is so unprofessional and absurd. We, as the customers, should not be confronted in front of the whole table, knowing there is other families with us, demanding why they didn't get a really high tip. If the service was exceptional, then the tip would have shown that, but it was not at all. At least they got a tip. Oh well. Will not be taking my family here again.

I love the food here and chef's show is top notch if you haven't been you need to go

We had set reservations a month in advance and still waited in line with the people that arrived infront of us. Once we get seated, they took a while to get our drinks out. The cook was too worried about what was happening behind our table to give a decent service. He didn't get the orders right and forgot the shrimp off one plate entirely. Can't say I would return with the other Japanese options in Greensboro.

My wife an I love SUSHI. Very fresh, and delicious.

Very nice atmosphere and very talented chef!

The food is good as well as the service. I had the Grouper special and it was yummy. The reason for the 3 star rating is because the furniture looks terrible! The chairs and tables look old, worn and filthy. The chairs are cloth so they show all the stains...yuck! I didnt want to sit so I ended up using my napkin to sit on. It's an easy fix...purchase chairs that can be wiped down like maybe vinyl or plastic or leather. Other than that I enjoyed. But instead of eating in I'll get my food to go.

Lunch was actually much better than dinner. However the waitresses aren't that friendly. My reservations were at 8 and we didn't get seated until around 8:25-30. I ran into some friends, they were walk-ins and they were seated before me in which I thought wasn't fair. The silver ware wasn't clean, so we requested some more however our waitress replaced it with plastic ware. Over all my lunch experience was so much better.

Manager/owner is rude and doesn't care about her customers. Will never eat there again and will tell everyone I know.

The food is exalant. You get a lot of food for your money. It's the best Japanese steakhouse around.

We were a party of 6 people and had a reservation for 1pm. We got there at 1pm but had to wait a whole hour to be seated at 2pm. The hibachi chef started cooking at 2:30. The carpet is super sticky. Not the most clean place. Their food is really good and the service is good. I would recommend coming at a time where they aren't busy because you will be waiting an hour to be seated. Their sushi is very fresh.

I gave this place 3 stars because for one no restaurant is absolutely perfect .. secondly I personally only like one cook in there and his name is BOBBY!!!!!! Other cooks to me look like they don’t even want to be there, they’re low energy and to be really honest with y’all some of them can’t cook ..... 🤦🏽‍♀️

We had a party of 16 for a very special birthday for my dad that turns 80! Service was great as was the food. Thank you Sapporo for making our night special.

Food is normally very good but a lot of the time they don't have a sushi chef on duty. We used to eat lunch there on Sunday but don't anymore because of that. If they don't have someone to make sushi, then they need to turn their "sushi" sign off!

The food was good but the restaurant was hot due to a/c vents not being turned up. I still will return for another visit in the future. Hopefully that wont be the issue.

I went this restaurant for lunch today. It wasn’t really crowded. But we had to sit on a table with people that we did not know. And there was someone sitting next to me in the next chair who I did not know which was kind of inconvenient. But the quality of service and the food was excellent. I paid like $10 for lunch; I had some of my food taken to home for dinner.

The food was good and they give you plenty! However it was FREEZING COLD
